I work as Head of Finance for Plukon Germany. My role revolves around numbers, but above all, it's about working together with colleagues to make the right decisions for the business. What attracted me to Plukon was the combination of being part of a growing international organisation while still maintaining a personal and down-to-earth culture. That balance immediately stood out to me during my first conversations with the company.When I joined, there was a lot to take in. New colleagues, new processes and new challenges. What made the difference from day one was the warm welcome I received. People were approachable, supportive and willing to help. That made it easy to settle in quickly and feel part of the team.

What I enjoy most about my role is the variety. No two days are the same, and there is always something new to learn. At times, things can be fast-paced, especially when multiple projects and priorities come together. But that's also what keeps the work interesting.A good day for me is one where we have solved challenges together, completed important tasks and achieved results as a team. I enjoy working with colleagues across departments and locations, combining different perspectives to find the best solutions.

One thing that surprised me most about Plukon is how easy collaboration is across different locations and countries. Despite being a large international organisation, the atmosphere remains personal and approachable. There is a strong sense of trust, and people are given the freedom to take ownership of their work.Since joining Plukon, I have learned a great deal about the food industry, but also about the importance of communication and teamwork. In an international environment, you are constantly exposed to new ideas, perspectives and opportunities to grow.
