Senior product manager poultry
I have been working at Plukon since November 2024 as a Senior Poultry Product Manager. In this role, I bring together various disciplines, ranging from market insights and product development to quality, production, and customer presentations. Together with colleagues and suppliers, we translate trends and consumer needs into new products.
What makes my work so enjoyable is that I experience the entire process up close. An idea often starts with a market insight and grows into a product that actually ends up on the shelf. The combination of creativity, collaboration, and tangible results is highly rewarding.

The freedom to start something yourself
But you do have to take initiative
What attracted me to Plukon was the combination of collaboration and freedom. No one tells you exactly what to do every day.
That also means you need to take initiative yourself. If I have a good idea or want to learn something new, there is plenty of room for that. For example, I am currently taking an external course that I personally wanted to pursue. That freedom suits me well.

Building something together
That gives me energy
A good day at work for me is a day when I have a lot of contact with others and we are working towards something together. For example, an inspiration session with one of our customers. A lot of preparation goes into it, but when almost all of the ideas are then taken forward and developed further, it gives me a great sense of achievement.
I also enjoy projects such as developing new packaging. They are tangible changes that involve many colleagues and where you can ultimately see the results of your work.
Keep learning
As long as I can keep developing, I’m in the right place
Since joining Plukon, I have gradually taken on more responsibility. As a result, I have had the opportunity to work on broader and increasingly strategic projects. That is important to me because I enjoy learning and continuously developing myself. I like trying new things and not being limited to a single area of expertise.
I think you are a good fit for Plukon if you are enthusiastic, take a pragmatic approach, and are open to learning. With that mindset, you can achieve a lot here.
